Gustav Klimt

Gustav Klimt, (July 14, 1862 – February 6, 1918),was an Austrian symbolist painter and one of the most prominent members of the Vienna Secession movement. Klimt is noted for his paintings, muralssketches, and other objets d'art. Klimt's primary subject was the female body, and his works are marked by a frank eroticism. In addition to his figurative works, which include allegories and portraits, he painted landscapes.

This is my favourite Klimt's painting. I think that all the main features of his style are included in this paintings: the use of gold, the copper frame, the elegance of women that he wanted to convey to the audience.

I personally find his style beautiful, and I tried, therefore, to insert Klimt's style into one of my projects. In this project I had to redesign the interior of the staff canteen in the Limerick Institute of Technology, in Limerick, Ireland.

Joining my favourite artist's style with my own was really pleasant and satisfying, I really enjoyed this project.
